Urban Planning and Design

Sustainable Development has a web-based application process for all applications. This process is known as the Land Development Application (LDA) process. Please visit the Land Development Application page for more information.

The City issues permits and licences for the development, construction and use of all residential, commercial, industrial and institutional properties and buildings.

If you want to purchase or view maps and publications available from Sustainable Development, please come to the 5th floor of HSBC Bank Place, 10250-101 Street NW, or call 780-496-6160.

If you want to speak to the city planner responsible for your neighbourhood, check the Geographic Area of Responsibility Map for the name of the senior planner for your area.

If you want to see the development permits for a specific address, you will need to use the Edmonton Map Function and enter in the specific address.
